Sudoku and the Lollipop Guild

Okay I am ashamed to admit how many times I've done this stupid puzzle that came in the newspaper. But I've come to the conclusion that they MUST have printed an error. So PLEASE somebody out there try it and tell me you couldn't solve it either! And would somebody please clock my husband for waking up singing "We represent the Lollipop Guild" and then preceeding to share it with us...I've now got munchkins in my head! As if Sudoku wasn't enough!

Sudoku?

I've never done one and have no desire to.

ON the other hand I now have a strong desire to watch The Wizard of Oz.....

Hi Lara - Priscilla Roberts here -
so, now you know... I've been a reader of your blog for about 2 months and am REALLY enjoying it... It's 11:45 p.m., and I should be going to bed right now, (as it's Wee Care Thursday tomorrow - the last one of the spring - yes I'm still at CCBC on Thursdays, after 8 1/2 years!!)but, as a fellow "sudokuer" - can that possibly be a real word? -you've given me a challenge I can't resist... I'll let you know later if I can actually solve this puzzle...

I've meant to comment on your blog before, espcially about Gabe's voracious reading - WOW!! There are several books that John has enjoyed, and his older brother as well that I thought Gabe might like... I've also wanted to talk to you about Trinity C.A., as I'm thinking seriously about it for John next year and in the years to come... John is in 5th grade this year... Isn't Gabe in the 5th also??

My e-mail address is:

mark_e_roberts@juno.com

I miss seeing you at Wee-Care...

Your friend,

Priscilla

Lara, I am so impressed with you. Like Kellie, I have no desire whatsoever to "play" with numbers. Probably this is because numbers and I don't get along and I wouldn't be able to solve it and then I would feel like a complete idiot. It is hard enough to have my two teenagers already so far beyond me in math skills that I can't play the game of "do you remember this equation" with them. Not only do I not remember anything beyond PiR2, I never learned them in the first place!!

Lara, I'll take on this puzzle. I LOVE Sudoku and will see if I can do it. Thank goodness I have no idea what Ray was singing or it would become a part of my world, too. It will in time, soon enough.

Okay I'm a dumb dory and there is a mistake in the posted Soduku. In the bottom middle set of 9 numbers the two should be under the nine NOT under the 4!...NOW TRY AGAIN Sorry girls....
